First, thanks so much for the kind words about my dad on my last post. He’s still doing well, to our continued relief. Also, people have been asking when I’m going to reveal the cover and the audio narrator for THE OTHER HALF OF THE GRAVE. The answer is very soon on both, so stay tuned! Now, as promised, here’s a new chapter, and also as promised, at the bottom of this post is a new contest, so don’t miss out on your chance to win a $50 Amazon egift card.
Now, since the below is a short chapter, I’m going to post Chapter 22 next Friday, as well as posting the contest winner, too, so be sure to check back! Oh, and if you’ve wondered what Hennessey looks like, see the below image. This not perfect, of course, and you don’t get his whole face, but it’s close enough to give you an idea about the book’s villain.

I’ve been kinda behind since having my little one, but I’m so glad I happened to see your Tweet that you are still posting these chapters and did indeed decide to publish a book from his POV!! I can’t wait to read it all together! I may have to go back and re-read the original series, again, now.

I haven’t followed an author like this since over 10 years ago. I had kids and never had time to read again. I found Bones and Cats story last year and I read them all…every last series and spin off. Thank you for sharing Bones point of view. Can’t wait to read the next chapter on Friday!

There’s so many good books to read! If you’re done with all her books try Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels and Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series!

Any other recs. This is the only time someones listed all my favorites – some romance/smut but also good world building and sci fi/urban fantasy plots that make the series. Ilona andrews, jeanine frost, deborah harkness and KMM are the best so far.

Patricia Briggs has two great urban fantasy series, Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega. Great characters, some that overlap both series, and storylines that incorporate several different mythologies.
Another less well known series I highly recommend is Suzanne Johnson’s Sentinels of New Orleans. It starts with Royal Street in the days before Hurricane Katrina and explores how a natural disaster can affect the supernatural world. With original concepts and stunning imagination, SJ writes so vividly you will want to swat the virtual mosquitoes in her Louisiana bayou.
