Hi, all. I’m losing my eldest dog soon, so new posts/replies will be scarce for the next month because I’m pretty gutted right now. Her loss is not unexpected since she’s over 16, but expecting it doesn’t lessen the grief. Yes, others have lost far more, especially now, but it still hurts, so please no comments of “but it’s just a dog…”
Thank you for your understanding. I’m closing this post with a photo of me and Gypsy this past Christmas:

She is beautiful! I have five huskies and three Chihuahua mix. It’s painful to think when that day comes.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I also know this very real heartbreak all too well. You and Gypsy look like you have shared good, happy and positive memories together. The loss of a family member, furry or not, is one of the hardest heartaches we face in life. I know Gypsy will be watching over you with all their love from the Rainbow Bridge. My heart goes out to you and I hope you are ok.

Mommas will always mourn their babies, no matter how old or whether or not they wear fur. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. I pray the passing is peaceful when it comes.

😥 I know what this pain is like, I lost my dog last year 😔😭 He died in my arms, I tried mouth-to-mouth breathing on him, but I saw him die and I couldn’t do anything else 😥 But I believe he is in a good place now. It was difficult, but I got over it. And I hope you get over it too. Remember the happy times you spent with your dog ❤️❤️ They will always be eternal in our hearts ❤️❤️ And if life after death is like your books, we’ll still see them on the other side! ❤️❤️ I believe that! Be alright, Jea ❤️❤️❤️

I just finished the Night Prince series then I was telling my sister about the books then she started to read to them too. When she finished we started talking about a movie. We picked out some actors we could see in the major roles and who should direct it the whole 9 yards. I’m on a fix income but I enjoy your book so much I just purchased First Drop of Crimson and Eternal Kiss of Darkness.
I can’t stop reading.

She’s gorgeous!
Loss is loss, no matter what it is, and it hurts the same. Expected or not, it still guts you, and I am so sorry that you are losing her. Praying for peace for both of you.

Gypsy is beautiful. Our fur babies are family. We love them and they give us so much love asking nothing in return. It hurts when they leave us. Please know I am thinking of you both and sending much love.

So sorry.
It’s a terrible feeling to lose a pet. They are a wonderful part of your family and show such unconditional love.
My hope for you and every one that suffers a loss is that eventually the memories of the joy and happiness they brought, override the sadness of their loss.
Take Care

No no no, any good pet owner knows that after some time, it’s more than just an animal, it’s a member of the family. Got my first cat when I was barely 4. Had him for just over 16 years. When he past away I lost my best childhood friend. It’s hard, I still get all misty thinking about him to this very day.

So sorry to hear this. She looks like a stuffed animal in the picture. So soft and cuddly. It is a hard time and knowing it is going to happen does not make it any easier. I will keep you in my thoughts. When you are back, you are back…

I’m so so sorry to hear that. My dog and cat are my babies and my family. They have their own personalities, their likes and needs and wants. They both love me. I feel for you. Stay strong
