ETA: THIS CONTEST ENDED AS OF 12/7/18. But keep checking my blog for new posts because more contests will be announced soon 🙂.
As promised, I’m now starting the first of my Holiday Favs Giveaways! Yes, I know I called it the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways last week, but then I caught the flu, so everything’s now been shortened to match my new state of sickness. Hey, at first I was going to rename it Frosts 12-Way Favs, and then I read that title out loud. Whoops ;).
Anyway, these giveaways are brought to you by SHADES OF WICKED, my latest release. So, before we get to them, let’s thank our sponsors, Ian and Veritas, shall we? Who are they? new visitors might be wondering? Let me introduce you!
The Rule Breaker
Master vampire Ian is unrepentant, shameless…and every shade of wicked. He’s made one too many enemies in his two centuries of existence, including Dagon, a demon who now lays claim to his soul. Ian’s only chance to escape Dagon is to join forces with a Law Guardian, but he’s never been able to abide by the rules for long.
The Law Maker
Veritas’ normal role is police, judge and jury to reprobates like Ian. But she has her own ax to grind with Dagon, so if she can use Ian as bait…well, all’s fair in law and war. As they scour supernatural hotspots to perfect their trap, Veritas soon realizes Ian’s devil-may-care, roguish image hides something much more powerful. And Ian discovers that Veritas has shocking secrets of her own. As they’re drawn to each other with a passion as intense as their peril, either love or justice will prevail. But each will have devastating consequences… Order: Amazon, B&N, IndieBound, Apple Books, BooksAMillion, Kobo or Malaprops.
Okay, shameless promo plug out of the way, let’s get right to PRIZE 1 of the Holiday Favs giveaways! First up are books, books, books! THREE WINNERS will get to choose from ONE of the books below, which contains ALL the novels in my Night Huntress, Night Huntress World, Night Prince and new Night Rebel series, with an added extended novella from The Bite Before Christmas anthology because it’s an important Cat and Bones story that I really should have just made into a complete book, but didn’t. I even arranged the books in my Author Recommended Reading Order because not even the flu can limit my ocd, ha! Anyway, here are the pretties. The three winners can choose to have them in either paperback or ebook. This part of the contest is open to US and international readers, although due to ebook restrictions, any international winners are limited to receiving their prize in paperback only.
But I don’t only want books! some of you might be saying. I hear you! How about some chocolate, too? ONE LUCKY WINNER will also get a box of Godiva chocolate PLUS any book from my collection featured above, in either paperback or ebook, winner’s choice. This part of the contest is limited to US readers only.
But wait, there’s more! What goes better with books than chocolate, you wonder? Books, chocolate, AND MONEY! 🙂 ONE LUCKY WINNER will get any book from my collection above, PLUS a box of Godiva chocolate, PLUS a $25 Amazon egift card! This part of the contest is open to US readers only.
THE RULES:
If you want your chance to be one of the five total winners, then tell me your favorite holiday-themed movie. For example, mine would be a tie between It’s A Wonderful Life and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I like the uplifting, timeless truths of It’s A Wonderful Life, but let’s face it, my actual holidays more closely resemble the mayhem of Christmas Vacation ;). This category is open to all holidays, of course. Or, if you don’t have an official holiday-themed favorite movie, holiday-adjacent is fine, too. If I were picking for that category, mine would be The Family Man, where the holidays are barely mentioned because it’s mostly a fish-out-of-water story combined with a meant-to-be love story, all wrapped up with a tinge of supernatural intervention. Hey, you can rock the holiday horror category, too. Gremlins was an all-time favorite of mine, and Santa’s Slay still makes me laugh out loud.
I mentioned a bunch of examples, but you only have to tell me one of your favorites to be eligible to enter. Reply in the comments on my website blog ONLY so I have them all together in one place. Winners will be randomly selected. Not sure if you’re at my website blog? Here is the link: https://jeanienefrost.com/2018/12/holiday-favs-giveaways-prize-1/
Contest opens NOW and ends Friday, December 7th at 9am Eastern time. Please only enter once per person. Thanks and good luck!

Delaynee A. says
Favorite holiday movie? Considering it is about Christmas time I will stick with that holiday. (Otherwise it would be Halloweentown. 😊)
There are the traditional movies for Christmas that I love. Rudolph. Frosty. It’s a Wonderful Life and most currently The Man who Invented Christmas. It is a movie about Christmas and the writing proces. I can’t get enough.
The Santa Clause with Tim Allen has to be my all time favorite though.
Ever since I was little it has been a tradition in our house to gather around the TV and watch Tim Allen become Santa Clause. There are many stories associated with that movie. Now that I am older, I find it is hard to celebrate This wintry holiday without watching The Toolman say Ho ho Ho.

Mine is Die Hard. I know there is an eternal debate as to whether or not it is a Christmas movie, but it is. It’s set at Christmas. There is a Christmas party going on. The main character has traveled across the country to spen Christmas with his family. It’s not his fault Hans Gruber & Co. put a wrench in the holidays. In the end, the hero saves his wife, saves the day and gets to go home. I like to believe it was to enjoy cocoa and snuggles from his kids.

I know you only needed one, but I couldn’t choose between these two. I love them both equally, just for different reasons.
Laura says

Mindy says
My favorite holiday movie is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

I will have to stick with A Nightmare before Christmas as my favorite Christmas Themed movie. Poor jack just wants to be loved like Santa, even though he might go about it the wrong way… My daughter and I have watched it for the last 20 years as part of our Holiday Celebration. She’s now 28 and we always take a couple of hours to just spend time together during the holidays and cheer for Jack and Sally and all of their misadventures. And of course we love Zero too. I think Rise of the Guardians has to be my favorite “hoilday” movie to watch this time of year. My husband and I watch it’s every year as a tradition ( even though we are both adults with no children and we are watching a movie targeted towards kids. It’s just a good movie). It got a great story, great characters ( come on who doesn’t want to see a kick-ass Easter Bunny voiced by Hugh Jackman), and it’s funny. Not your traditional hoilday movie but I feel like it’s an underrated and almost forgot gem.
Roberta Cooper says
Die Hard is my fav Christmas movie. I watch it every Christmas with my family. My Mom, who will be 71 years old this year, always says the Yippee Ki Ya part without the curse word and it never fails to crack everyone up. Tie between Die Hard and Love Actually. Love both, they are both funny and romantic and have great characters .
I also try to read Hogfather by Terry Pratchett , my holiday book.

Awesome giveaway! My favorite holiday movies are National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation or The Holiday.

Muppets Christmas Carol is probably my overall favorite. However, I’ve really enjoyed drinking adult beverages while wrapping presents and watching Die Hard after the little one is in bed on Christmas Eve.

Love watching Rudolph the Reindeer every year – watched since a i was a kid and i now watch it with my two girls. But technically, that’s technically more of a TV movie. My new favorite is Santa Chronicles on NETFLIX. Kurt Russell looked amazing and did an awesome job as a bad a$$ Santa.

I like How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I’ve seen all the others mentioned, but there’s too many sad parts.

Rudolph. I grew up watching it. It reminds of time with my mom who has passed away.

I agree with Die Hard being a great Christmas movie. It’s either that or Elf as one of my favourites.

Love Actually is my all time favorite Christmas movie! I love how each relationship develops and is connected to another party in small-or big-ways.

I always watch Elf and Love Actually when they play on TV. But the series I make sure to watch every year is the Harry Potter series. I’ll usually catch a rerun on ABC family or Sci-fi too.
Vivian Wai says
Oops, typo, “Wai” not “Weai”.
Jennifer Vallier says
The Santa Clause. I absolutely love Tim Allen and all 3 are great but the 1st is my absolute favorite. Can’t have a Christmas season without watching it.

I love The Family Stone and The Christmas Card. Family Stone is a beautiful story of family and loss and disfunction at it’s best. The Christmas Card is everything Christmas should be. Loving, giving and warm.
