Hi all! For the past couple days, I worked on revising my early chapters of Vlad and Leila’s book (still untitled!) in the hopes that a portion might be excerpted at the back of The Bite Before Christmas anthology. Good news! I just heard from my editor and the revisions were approved, so there will be about a chapter and a half from the first novel in the new Night Prince series at the back of The Bite Before Christmas, which releases on October 25th of this year.
The rest of this week, I’m writing and packing because I’m attending the Romance Writer’s of America convention next week (more on that soon). But in the midst of the “Oh crap, what am I going to wear?” and “These pants make my ass look fat – and flat!” crisis’s that will surely arise *wink* I’m also scheduled for a live online video chat with author Caridad Pineiro. We’ll be talking about books, vampires, and whatever else strikes our fancy, so be sure to join us on June 23rd at 9:00pm EST.
Link to the chat is here: http://www.webmeetinglogin.com/go/bookcandyauthorchats/caridad
Now, back to the RWA convention. It’s from June 28th to July 2nd at the New York Marriot Marquis in New York, NY. If you’re in the New York City area, the Literacy For Life signing on Tuesday the 28th from 5:30 – 7:30pm is open to the public, and all proceeds go to charity. Details and location on that are here: http://www.rwa.org/cs/literacy_autographing . I’ll be signing along with hundreds of other authors. Hope to see you there!
If you’re attending the RWA convention, in addition to the Literacy signing, you can find me at the Avon Open House on Thursday the 30th from 9:45am to 11:15am, plus at the Paranormal Alpha Heroines panel on Friday July 1st from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the Chelsea/Gotham room. Other panelists include authors Marjorie Liu, Colleen Gleason/Joss Wade, and Juliana Stone. Should be fun!
I won’t be blogging again until I’m back from RWA, but if you want to keep up with any tidbits from my trip, check out my Twitter page. You don’t need to be registered to read the Tweets. A proper blog post with pictures will go up once I’m back.
Take care, everyone! Play nice while I’m gone :).
