Battling through a nasty cold at the moment, so I’m behind on answering emails/blog messages. My apologies. Blame my husband – I do, heh – because he gave me the cold.
But enough talk about that. I have a very special announcement to make. A few weeks ago, Karen from For What It’s Worth blog contacted me because she was trying to raise money for Doctors Without Borders efforts in the aftermath of Haiti’s earthquake. News about Haiti may have faded from the headlines but the need and suffering sadly hasn’t faded. So I was more than happy to join Karen’s efforts to try to raise money by offering up books and some special, never-before-seen deleted scenes from my novels. I’ll also be matching bids up to the first $100.00, if they go that high, with Karen matching bids for the next $50.00 if they exceed $100.00. So every dollar in this auction, up to $150.00, means two dollars will go toward Doctors Without Borders as they try to save more lives.
Here’s what I’m offering in the auction, copied from Karen’s website:
The Night Huntress Series, Books 1-4
- Book one – HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE
- Book two – ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE
- Book three – AT GRAVES END
- Book four – DESTINED FOR AN EARLY GRAVE
All 4 books personally signed.
Night Huntress World, Book 1
- Book one – FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON (Spade and Denise’s story)
Personally signed.
EXCLUSIVE TO THIS AUCTION!
Printed and signed “sneak peek” at 3 deleted scenes from The Night Huntress Series!!
- ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE– A deleted scene from the wedding where Cat first sees Bones
- AT GRAVES END – A deleted scene after Cat and Bones visit to the S&M club (it’s Cat & Bones – so you can guess where that’s going……LOL)
- DESTINED FOR AN EARLY GRAVE – The original beginning
All five books retail for $7.99 each so that’s a value of $39.95, plus the scenes, being offered at a starting bid of $20.00. Here’s where you need to go if you’re interested in bidding on these items, plus a breakdown of the rules: http://forwhatitsworth-kea.blogspot.com/2010/02/final-auctionjeaniene-frost.html
Please help me in trying to help out those devastated by the earthquake by placing a bid, if you can. Again, don’t bid here, but please go here: http://forwhatitsworth-kea.blogspot.com/2010/02/final-auctionjeaniene-frost.html
And even if you can’t bid, spreading the word by linking to Karen’s auction would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I was so excited about the auction until I saw how much, yesterday’s bid $750.00, the signed books and deleted scenes were going for. Way out of my price range. Can you auction the deleted scenes or put them in the back of one of your books. I would love to read them.

Sorry Jeaniene. I didn’t read about the scenes being posted to your website at a later date. I am always telling my students to read; why I did not follow my own advice I don’t know. I look forward to reading the deleted scenes. Will you be in Houston or Dallas signing books now or this summer. I would love to get a signed book.

I must show my appreciation to this writer just for rescuing me from such a matter. Right after browsing through the the net and meeting thoughts which were not beneficial, I believed my entire life was done. Being alive minus the solutions to the difficulties you have fixed all through your good posting is a critical case, as well as those that might have badly damaged my entire career if I had not come across the blog. Your main understanding and kindness in handling the whole thing was vital. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t come across such a subject like this. I can also at this time relish my future. Thanks very much for your expert and result oriented guide. I will not hesitate to recommend the sites to any person who needs to have care about this situation.
