THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE snippets

December 15, 2010 by Jeaniene Frost 10 Comments

I’m still (still!) busy trying to finish Cat and Bones #6, but the awesome peeps over at Frost Fans have been bringing in the holiday cheer for me. Last week they ran a contest giving away an advance copy of THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE (if you didn’t win, never fear – they’re holding two more contests, so check back there for more chances to win!) and this week, they’re posting scene snippets from the book.

Here’s part of Snippet Number One from THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE:

***

Bones was also dressed as though entertainment were his only motivation. His long sleeved top was made entirely of black mesh, his crystal skin exposed more than it was covered with the material. Leather pants hung low on his hips, tight enough to hint at his assets, but with enough give that they wouldn’t hinder his movements. The all-black ensemble combined with his dark hair only made his pale skin even more striking by comparison, drawing the eye to the muscled flesh those hundreds of tiny holes revealed.

He caught my lingering gaze where the peep show of his skin ended and the front of his pants began – and flashed me a wicked grin.

And while I’ll try to let everyone know as soon as a new snippet goes up, silence on my end means more progress on the book – which MUST be finished by the 31st, so it’s hold all the calls and full steam ahead!  So you’d probably catch the new snippets first over on Frost Fans. It’s not that I don’t love all of you. It’s that I’m trying to make sure this book is (a) good, and (b) DONE  :).

Happy holidays, everyone!

OMG MORE SNIPPETS! I LOVE YOU JEANIENE! As I said over at Frost Fans The scene is AMAZING! Bones in a mesh shirt and tight leather pants! *swoon and gushing* I couldn’t stop myself from re-reading this over and over again and savoring the image! 😀 This Side of the Grave is DEFINITELY going to be ANOTHER BEST-SELLER and another great book that will not disappoint Cat & Bones fans!

THANK YOU JEANIENE FOR SHARING THIS WITH US ALL! DEFINITELY A GREAT CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND THE IMAGE OF BONES IN MESH AND LEATHER WILL KEEP ME WARM DURING THESE BITTER COLD WINTER NIGHTS! 😀

Ooooh yay!! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I’m practically foaming at the mouth for the next book.

I’m sure everyone says this, but Bones really is my new favorite vamp!! He trumped Eric from Sookie Stackhouse who’s now in second place, lol.

    Keep the stories coming!!!
    Your (new} fan!

    Merry Christmas!!!
I have just finished reading AGE (for the second time), and was wondering whatever happened to the box Mencheres gave to Cat from Bones? Will we hear of it again or find out what was in the box or in the letter from Bones?
I had no idea where to write this so I hope here is ok!
Many thanks to a wonderful author!

Hi Jeaniene, loved the snippet, so smexy! But, I thought Cat was a full vamp now, not a half-vamp. Right or wrong?

I was just wondering if you ever going to make a whole book about Pack because I love the story?

[…] THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE by Jeaniene Frost: I love the NIGHT HUNTRESS SERIES, and I’ve enjoyed both books in the NIGHT HUNTRESS WORLD spinoff. Frost has a way of creating a great group of characters with distinct personalities and draws the reader in so that they feel like they are part of the group. Reading Cat & Bones number 6 will be like coming home to friends I haven’t seen in a year. This entry was posted on Thursday, January 6th, 2011 at 5:59 pm and posted in Book Excerpts.
